Every year, around 9,000 operations are performed in six state-of-the-art operating rooms at St. Vinzenz Hospital. The OR management or the reprocessing unit for medical devices (AEMP) ensures that the rooms, instruments and materials are ready for use around the clock.

A broad-based team of surgical assistants works closely with doctors from various specialties to carry out a wide range of surgical procedures. Advanced technology is used in the process: Among other things, we have a specially equipped operating room with two columns, which enables simultaneous operations in one room.

The OR management team organises all procedures in a patient-oriented manner and ensures reliable operational readiness around the clock. Thanks to forward-looking planning and optimised processes, the team remains flexible in order to deal efficiently with unforeseen interventions and emergencies. Established standards and structured processes ensure the highest quality. The AEMP – reprocessing unit for medical devices – takes care of the careful and standard-compliant reprocessing of all sterile medical devices. From surgical instruments to complex surgical material: Each part is mechanically cleaned, disinfected, packaged and sterilised.
