The specialised continence and stoma consultation supports patients on their way back to everyday life and in improving their quality of life.

• Preoperative consultation and stoma marking: Comprehensive advice before the surgery and joint determination of the optimal placement of the stoma.
  
• Post-operative instruction and training: intensive training after the operation on self-care and handling the stoma, including for relatives if necessary
  
• Preparation for discharge: targeted support during the hospital stay in preparation for returning home
  
• Aftercare and follow-up appointments: regular follow-up appointments even after discharge to check and adjust care
