Services
The Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapeutic Medicine specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses and disorders. Common diagnoses include depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, stress reactions and stress-related illnesses following traumatic life events, substance-use disorders, psychotic disorders, as well as adjustment disorders in the context of severe physical illnesses.
Goals of care:
Improving the quality of life: Reduction of symptoms, promotion of self-care and support in coping with everyday tasks
Maintaining relationships and social roles: Restoration and maintenance of social contacts and integration into the original environment
Long-term support: Creation of a sustainable care structure outside the hospital
The approach is based on a partnership model of psychiatric treatment and is oriented towards the recovery concept. The interdisciplinary team brings together the strengths of specialists from the fields of psychiatry, psychiatric nursing, clinical psychology, social work, social pedagogy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy EX-IN recovery support and administration.
Psychiatric day clinic
On the one hand, the psychiatric day clinic is an important addition to the psychiatric outpatient clinic, with a clear focus on acute psychiatric treatment. On the other hand, the day clinic form of therapy offers a valuable alternative to full inpatient treatment and allows patients to remain in their familiar surroundings. Through continuous contact with their home environment and the inclusion of their social environment, we can guarantee holistic and effective treatment.
Duration of therapy
The duration of day clinic treatment varies according to individual needs, but should not exceed a maximum of 3 weeks.
Indications for treatment
The day clinic is aimed at people who suffer from acute mental disorders and are interested in treatment while they have a sufficiently stable living situation and appropriate mobility options. Long-term psychotherapeutic or rehabilitative treatments are not offered at the day clinic.
Referral path
Referrals to the day clinic are made exclusively via the psychiatric outpatient clinic. After an in-depth diagnostic clarification and initial therapy planning, the indication for admission and the goals are determined together with those responsible at the day clinic and an appropriate appointment is made.
The range of therapies at a glance
