In a child-friendly environment, our highly qualified and caring team always looks after the children in the presence of their parents. The atmosphere is friendly and the treatment is as anxiety- and pain-free as possible. Even under difficult circumstances, stressful situations for the child should be avoided.

Parents are always kept fully informed about examination and treatment steps. We rely on mutual trust and a relationship based on partnership to ensure the best possible health of every child entrusted to us. As this is an interdisciplinary department, patients in the above-mentioned age group are also treated and cared for with surgical, accident surgery, urological, orthopaedic and ear, nose and throat conditions.

Adolescent medicine

We take the worries and fears of our young patients seriously, listen attentively, and answer all questions about their bodies and state of health. If necessary, other specialist areas are also involved. Available until the age of 18. We are available to young people from the age of 18 as trustworthy contacts. Adolescent patients can visit our department alone if they wish, but preferably accompanied by their parents or a trusted person.

Neuropaediatrics

For children with neurological conditions or illnesses, we offer specialised medical consultation.

  • EEG examinations
  • Differential diagnosis and treatment of epilepsies, developmental disorders and neuromuscular diseases in children
  • Treatment of pain and restlessness in children with special needs
  • Diagnosis and treatment of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders
  • Treatment of movement disorders, cerebral palsy and dystonia
  • Cooperation with the socio-educational centre in Zams
  • Implementation of rehabilitation camps

Neonatology

We care for both full-term newborns and premature babies from the 33rd week of pregnancy. Routine examinations for newborns include hip ultrasound, kidney ultrasound, hearing screening and oxygen saturation measurement. State-of-the-art monitoring and respiratory support devices ensure optimum care.
