Diagnostics and therapy offered according to the cardiological clinical symptoms.
Coronary heart disease / cardiovascular risk factor management:
- Ergometry for performance assessment
- Decision on further investigations, such as myocardial scintigraphy or coronary angiography
- Optimization of cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension (high blood pressure) and hypercholesterolemia (elevated fat levels)
Valvular disease (heart valve defects):
- Echocardiographic examinations (transthoracic and transesophageal, also known as “swallowing echo”)
- Adjustment of drug therapy
- Decision on the indication for surgery
Cardiac arrhythmia:
- Tachycardic arrhythmias (heartbeat that is too fast): Diagnosis and decision on possible invasive therapies such as ablation therapy
- Bradycardic arrhythmias (heartbeat that is too slow): Diagnosis and indication for the implantation of a pacemaker
Heart insufficiency:
- Clarification of causes and optimization of drug therapy
- Indication for the implantation of a cardiac resynchronization therapy system, a special pacemaker therapy to improve cardiac performance
